There are two factors that affect the hardness of stainless steel plates: annealing treatment of steel strips and carbon content of stainless steel plates.
1、 The quality of annealing treatment for stainless steel strips is directly related to the hardness of stainless steel plates. The country has corresponding standards for the hardness of 201 and 304 stainless steel plates.
2、 The carbon content in stainless steel plate. The main function of carbon in stainless steel plate is to improve the hardness of the plate, but carbon in stainless steel is also an impurity. The harder the content, the greater the possibility of rust on the plate.
In addition to these two factors, there is another reason for 201 stainless steel plates, which is copper. Copper will be added to the stainless steel plate made of 201 material. The effect of copper not only improves the brightness of the plate, but also increases its toughness, making the same stainless steel plate softer and easier for the processor to process and bend. Therefore, the above are some factors that affect the hardness of stainless steel plates. But this does not mean that the harder the stainless steel plate, the better, but it is not conducive to the processing and bending of stainless steel plates.
