Both open plate and original plate are commonly used stainless steel plates in the stainless steel industry. Although the appearance of these two types of stainless steel plates is very similar, there are still substantial differences. The detailed differences are as follows:
1. Specification: There is no difference between the two types of stainless steel plates in terms of material. Generally speaking, the continuous rolled steel plate has a thinner specification, narrower width, and higher tolerance requirements. However, the flatness of the continuous rolled steel plate is significantly better than that of the single rolled steel plate.
2. Mechanical performance: Although the open plate and the original plate are made of the same stainless steel material, the mechanical performance of the open plate is not as good as that of the original plate because it is made by uncoiling, leveling, and shearing the strip steel. Therefore, the original plate is used in some important application areas. Customers should pay attention to it during the procurement process.
3. Color: The open panel and the original panel can be distinguished from the color of the panel surface. Because the flat plate was originally made of steel strip and rolled, it has less oxide skin. After being left for a period of time, the color on the surface of the flat plate and the original plate with the same production time will change, with the original plate turning red and the open plate turning blue.
